Almost 4,000 travelers stay stranded in a few ports in the nation on Thursday, a day after Christmas, because of the surge of Typhoon Ursula, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said. Starting at 8 a.m., an aggregate of 3,930 travelers were stranded in ports in Southern Tagalog and Western Visayas, PCG said.
Calapan City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan visits stranded travelers from the Visayas, for the most part from the regions of Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan and Antique, protected at a vacuation focus in the city.
In the interim, the tasks of 347 moving cargoes, three motorbancas, and 18 vessels stayed suspended and 18 vessels were docked because of the overall climate condition. "All PCG units guarantee the exacting execution of the rules on the development of vessels during overwhelming climate to guarantee the security of lives and properties no matter what," the PCG said in an announcement.
Ursula has marginally backed off and its middle was last situated over the West Philippine Sea, the state climate agency said on Thursday. It is relied upon to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) inside 48 hours.
