Euthanasia, not a murder

Updated: Feb 10, 2020

In our opinion, euthanasia is not a form of murder on the grounds that patients with severe illness or those with little or no hope of treatment seek it. For us, this should be legal because based on expert doctor Philip Nitschke who studies euthanasia he is also very sick about doing so but it is even more frustrating when he sees a patient screaming in pain, asking for pity to end the misery. Many countries around the world accept euthanasia just like Belgium, Canada, Columbia, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States. Euthanasia becomes more legal with the consent of the patient and his or her family.

Jack Kevorkian is an American pathologist who was jailed for euthanizing his two patients Lou Gehrig and Thomas Youk. According to the study he injected them with the strong chemicals that caused the death of the two. Kevorkian said that killing is not a sin if it is requested by a suffering person. Kevorkian was nicknamed the "Mercy Machine" and the "Death Machine". We respond to this issue that euthanasia is not a form of murder. There are many types of euthanasia but we stand with its goal of stopping and ending the suffering and pain of the person who asks for it. We call for doctors who study euthanasia that they do not give up on their patients unless their family or the patients request it.
